General information only

All converters, articles, and content on Universal Unit Converter are provided for general informational purposes. While we use internationally defined conversion constants and reputable exchange-rate sources, we make no warranty — express or implied — about the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of any result.

A result can also be mathematically correct yet unsuitable for your situation. For example, a gallon may refer to a US liquid gallon or an Imperial gallon, and a ton may mean a metric tonne or a US short ton. Check the full unit label, region and assumptions before using a number outside this site.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site constitutes financial, legal, medical, engineering, or other professional advice. Currency rates are mid-market references, not quotes for an actual transaction. Before relying on any conversion for a decision with real-world consequences, verify it with a qualified professional or an authoritative source.

External services

Exchange rates are provided by a third-party API, and advertising (when enabled) is served by third-party networks. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of these external services.

Exchange-rate timing and availability

A displayed currency rate is a reference snapshot, not a guaranteed live quote. Our converter may show a cached rate when an exchange-rate provider is unavailable. Market prices, local cash rates, transfer fees and the rate applied by your bank can all differ. Check the displayed update time and confirm a final price with your provider before sending or receiving money.

Rounding and calculated results

Decimal precision settings change how a result is displayed, not the underlying definition of a unit. Very large or very small values may be shown in scientific notation. Repeatedly calculating from rounded displayed values can compound error; use the original measurement and an appropriate precision for your task. Month and year lengths are averages where a single fixed length cannot represent every calendar date.

Verify consequential measurements

Do not use a web conversion alone to determine a medicine dose, engineering tolerance, fuel requirement, safety limit or contractual amount. Confirm the input units and source values, then check the output against an authoritative standard or a qualified person. If you notice a questionable result, contact us with the units, input value and expected result so we can investigate.
